In every school setting there are children who have ability or talent beyond their years.
In academic subjects, Class Teachers provide enrichment work and activities for the Very Able. The children are also invited to join The Challenge Club, which takes place after School. Led by the School's Co-ordinator for Very Able and Talented, the children are given opportunities to debate, explore and research a wide range of unusual topics to stretch their minds and imaginations. These sessions are led by specialist staff who bring their own area of expertise to the Club.
Children who have a talent in a particular subject such as sport or music, have the opportunity to become involved in one of the School's many extra curricular activities, as well as being proposed by the specialist staff for trials with national and county teams or ensembles.
