Last Tuesday, there was a great deal of excitement as Year 2 set off on their trip to the 'Think Tank' in Birmingham. During the day, all the children experienced a Lego workshop based on "Forces".
They also thoroughly enjoyed exploring the diverse " hands on" activities, which included, manning a café, fixing cars in a garage, water play, recycling rubbish, being a digger driver, finding out about the human body, forensics and the animal kingdom. We also found out why Birmingham became known as 'The Workshop of the World' and were able to go and explore a real steam engine. We saw a record breaking car, fighter planes and robots building cars. All the children had a great day and so did all the teachers. They made us very proud by displaying their knowledge, as well as their good manners. A very successful day out!
