Up, Up and Away!

The children in RA have been finding out about different types of transport and this week they have been looking at transport in the air.

They have made paper planes, testing them to see how far they fly and measuring the distance with their feet. Reception also had a very informative and engaging talk by Mr Ball, a pilot for Virgin Atlantic, about flying planes. In RA the children made their own hot air balloons. This was a fun and messy experience, putting papier-mâché on the balloons and then decorating them once dried. The children then wrote about their adventures travelling in a hot air balloon too. A very busy week!
