Little Crofters pre-school children have enjoyed exploring creativity through music. They helped to create a music corner in the outdoor area where they have been busy banging, shaking and tapping the musical instruments.
The changing weather has been an excellent stimulus – children have used the instruments to recreate sounds of rain, thunder, wind and snow. The children even composed their own music and noted it on paper using pictorial symbols for loud, soft and shaking sounds.
Indoors, children listened to a variety of music genres as they painted individual and collaborative pictures. It has been very interesting to see how the music influences their brush strokes.
