On Tuesday 3rd June Reception went on their first school trip, to Warwick Castle. It was the most fantastic day beginning with the journey on the Johnsons coach. For some, this was the most exciting part of the day! We were greeted on arrival by characters from "Horrible Histories" who entertained us with their funny stories and songs. We then explored around the castle visiting the Kingmaker and The Great Hall. We also saw archery, the trebuchet and a fabulous bird display with eagles and owls. The children particularly liked "Ernie" the vulture. We then had a lovely picnic in the sunshine with peacocks wandering around us, before sadly, we had to return to school. It was a busy, fun and educational day with plenty of new experiences. The children loved everything and their behaviour was superb.
Some of the comments from the children:
George : " Going on the coach because it was really big"
Izzy: "I liked the funny men dressed up. They did
tricks with us."
Charlotte: " I loved the picnic best."
Hugo and Rupert :" We liked the eagles -they were so big!"
Olivia F and Hendrix: " We liked going in the Kingmaker and seeing the armour."
Georgia:" I liked the noises of the horses and the knights."
