On Wednesday 23 September pupils took part in a rugby-themed ‘Power Pass’ fundraising event. Pupils, encouraged by Tim Stimpson, former Rugby Union full back for Leicester Tigers, and who has represented England and the British Lions, managed to pass a rugby ball a whopping 6007 times in just 15 minutes!
The rugby ball challenge is being repeated across the country by schools that are members of the Independent Association of Prep Schools. The final count at The Croft will contribute to an overall target of 500,000 passes.
All funds raised in The Power Pass will go to Wooden Spoon projects. Wooden Spoon, the children’s charity of rugby, uses the power of this wonderful game to change the lives of disadvantaged and disabled children.
