Congratulations to the U11 girls' Hockey team, which came 3rd in the Midlands In2Hockey Tournament, held in Cannock, Staffordshire, on Friday 24 April. The team initially qualified, from a previous tournament, as one of two teams to represent Warwickshire at the event. The best two teams from Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire competed in the event.
The Croft girls started well, winning their first match 2-0, and their second one 7-3. The third match produced a 0-0 draw, and the fourth a 1-0 win. This concluded in the girls winning their group, and going through to the semi-final. Unfortunately, the team lost in the semi-final to the eventual tournament champions, but third place in the tournament was a fantastic achievement, and a fitting end to the girls' hockey career at The Croft.
