Last week, Year 2 went to the 'Thinktank' in Birmingham where we had a fantastic day. The children loved the 'Kids' City' area where they were able to become doctors, dentists, cafe owners and even animators.
The 'Electricity' workshop demonstrated how much they had learned in Science last term. They loved becoming part of a human circuit that enabled a toy bear to sing! We saw how robots build cars and also saw old vehicles and machines including a real steam engine and an old trolley bus.
Of course, the most enjoyable part was having lots of buttons to press and levers to pull, especially when finding out about our bodies in 'All about Me'. In 'The Street' they were able to explore how recycling happens and even control a digger! We all had a very good day and the children represented the school so well.
