From Kenya to The Croft

Habari (that’s ‘Hello, how are you?’ in Kiswahili) from my wife Lucy, our boys Joshua and Ollie and me, Ed Bolderston, The Croft’s new Deputy Headmaster.

For the past six and a half years Lucy and I have been living in Kenya where we worked at an international IAPS school called Greensteds where I was the Junior School Headmaster. We had many wonderful experiences at Greensteds the highlights of which were seeing the school flourish and bringing up our two little chaps with the wonderful Kenyan people under East African skies.

On that note I must say how grateful we are to you all for organising such warm and sunny weather on our return to the UK this summer, none more so than this first week of the new school year!

So, Stratford-upon-Avon is our new home and The Croft our new school community. It has been a very exciting week of first days for all four of us; Lucy teaching Pre-Prep French, Joshua starting in Reception, Ollie in Nursery and me as Deputy Head. None of us could have wished for a warmer or more genuine welcome from the staff, parents and, of course, the wonderful Croft children.

As a family we feel truly blessed to be new members of The Croft community with its fantastic child-centred, creative and caring nature. We look forward to many years at The Croft and to being a part of the progress of our wonderful school.
