Eco Club and The Woodland Trust
Eco Club was lucky enough to receive 30 saplings of a copse mix of Silver Birch, Rowan and Wild Cherry from The Woodland Trust. Prep pupils industriously planted the saplings in the conservation area next to the hockey pitches. The Woodland Trust created the tree planting initiative to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War. Over the next four years, the Trust hopes to distribute more than three million free trees to help communities, schools and youth groups create special, living memorials. Eco Club pupils are looking forward to watching their saplings grow.
