Little Crofters have been experimenting in the outside mud kitchen, an area that provides opportunities for digging, stirring and mixing soil, water and natural materials.
The children have enjoyed exploring a rich menu of muddy delights including 'cakes, pies, cups of tea and soups.'
Exploring mud allows children not only to develop their imaginative play, but also their skill in the 'what if?' thinking of creating new and different combinations. Watching transformation take place has given children a tactile, fun and fascinating insight into how their menus/ideas can be developed through play.
Could this be the beginning of a future 'Bake Off' winner?
