36 pupils from Little Crofters and Reception had their first 'Balanceability' training session last Friday. Pupils worked in groups of 12 on developing their balance and confidence and by the number of smiling faces, it was very evident that pupils really enjoyed themselves. Balanceability is the UK's first and only accredited 'learn to cycle' programme for children aged 2 to 6 years. It combines unique ergonomic balance bikes with a programme of activity that builds confidence, spatial awareness and dynamic balance skills enabling young children to cycle without ever needing stabilisers. The programme comprises structured lesson plans that help children develop gross motor skills, spatial awareness, dynamic and static balance, whilst having fun!
