The children in 1DB really enjoyed celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5 March. They began the day by spending some time in Little Crofters reading stories to the younger children. Following this, the children introduced the book character they had come as to the class.
The focus for the day in Year 1 was the delightful book, 'Borka', by John Burningham. The children listened to the story about a goose that was born with no feathers and carried out activities relating to the story. In the afternoon, the children made chocolate nests containing six eggs (because Borka was one of six siblings).
