Building on solid foundations...

Little Crofters Pre-school offers a wealth of new, challenging learning opportunities in a more structured learning environment.  Your child will attend for a minimum of five morning sessions to experience a careful blend of adult-directed and child-initiated activities.  Our spacious, open plan classroom with free-flow access to our adjacent all-weather outdoor area will ensure your child has exciting learning opportunities.

Teachers in Little Crofters Pre-school ensure that Literacy and Mathematics are daily priorities.  Many children learn all the alphabet sounds and begin to blend them to read words during their Pre-school year ensuring they are well prepared for Reception.

Your child will visit the Pre-Prep library weekly, borrowing a book to share at home.  Weekly visits to the School's Sports Hall enable exciting opportunities for gymnastic, games and dance lessons.  Your child will also benefit from weekly French, Music and Forest School sessions led by specialist School staff.

Your child will join School staff for a delicious, nutritionally balanced lunch in the School's dining room where good table manners are encouraged.

You can opt your child into any number of afternoon sessions where they will benefit from additional Music and French lessons with specialist School staff, as well as regular opportunities to visit The Croft’s accredited Forest School. Positive behaviour, confidence and independence are nurtured in all children, enabling your child to move happily into Reception.

Memories will be made in the Little Crofters Pre-school Christmas production where your child will perform proudly on the school's Theatre stage to an audience comprising of parents and grandparents.  Bring a tissue, you are sure to need it!
